Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the soldier carry dynamite instead of the engineer?
In the past, the engineer class could finish every single map, have several special weapons at the same time (mines, rifle, rifle grenades, extra handgrenades), the ability to construct objectives and of course dynamite. The soldier class was quite pale in comparison.
For example on Fuel Dump:
Now you need at least a soldier and an engineer for that tasks. It balances the classes a little bit more.
The game Enemy Territory: Quake Wars fixed this, so did we. Now tighter teamwork is encouraged and more diverse fights can occur.
For example: picking soldier with smg or flame now actually makes sense, even in a 3v3 game. Note that engineers can still arm or disarm a soldier's dynamite.
