I've got a rather serious issue with ET. After last nights snow storm, during which we had electricity cut out my pc was forced shut too, in the middle of me using it. Today I noticed the issue with ET, I hadn't done any changes what so ever and it worked just fine before, but now when I boot it up, instead of the normal et screen I get 9-12 small ones which are spread across my monitor. Ontop of that the screens are a total pixel mess and you cant really read/make out anything that they say.

This only happens to me with ET, everything else runs just fine. I just downloaded and reinstalled ET, but it had no effect. I'm running on Linux, distro is Jaunty 9.04.

Has anyone else had this kind of problem/does anyone know a solution to it? I can't take a screenshot of it, if I could I would have posted it here allready.

My et was working totally fine with the same settings before and I didn't fiddle around with them :S

1) uninstall and reinstall video card drivers (software that helps you if you have ATI or Nvidia)
[albertomilone.com]
read and download EnvyNG

if not solve, the problem, maybe, is in some library Xorg or OpenGL, the fastest way is:

2) Upgrading Ubuntu to 9.10

Download on your desktop "Alternate install CD" (x86 or AMD64 according your system) [ftp.funet.fi]
after download
sudo mount -o loop ~/Desktop/ubuntu-9.10-alternate-i386.iso /media/cdrom0
or ...
sudo mount -o loop ~/Desktop/ubuntu-9.10-alternate-amd64.iso /media/cdrom0

(if no show any dialog box)

gksu "sh /cdrom/cdromupgrade" (if gnome or...)
kdesudo "sh /cdrom/cdromupgrade" (if KDE)

3) if not solve, bad news, i think the video card is defective for electric shock. :(

[OT] anyone knows a Game Server Browser for MAC (intel) like "The All Seeing Eye" for Windows or "XQF" for linux ?

Actually the solution was rather easy, switched a couple of wires from my pc and now it works like charm.

Thanks for feedback though.
